Basic Allowance For Housing (BAH)
Your BAH will be used in one of two ways. You can either rent on base or you can live off base. If you live off base, you can either rent or buy. Click Here for current BAH rates.

You can contact the housing office at 325-654-3345. Please keep in mind that there is a process involved in renting on Base housing to include wait times.

Home to the 17th Training Wing, Goodfellow is located on 1,135 acres near the west Texas community of San Angelo, Goodfellow includes more than 200 buildings, many of them accredited to hold and process sensitive compartmented information, plus an additional 200 units of leased housing near Lake Nasworthy.
Goodfellow Air Force Base is located near San Angelo, Texas and is a non-flying United States Air Force base. Goodfellow is home to the 17th Training Wing and the 344th Military Intelligence Battalion. The base has undergone some major renovation which has produced new dormitories, physical fitness center, commissary, and dining halls. Due to its many improvements, Goodfellow Air Force Base has become of the most modern installations in the Air Force. Temporary lodging while on base can be found at the Angelo Inn which offers extended stay hotel rooms for those military personnel looking for a more permanent residence. Off-post housing can be found in the nearby cities of San Antonio, and Grape Creek, Texas. Check in at the housing office for a list of the available properties both on and off post. Homes for rent and sale as well as apartment facilities are offered in two and three bedroom residences.
Goodfellow Air Force Base has been a training ground for pilots since the 1940s. By the 1960s, the training had expanded to include the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, and the U.S. Marine Corps. Although once slated for closure, technological advances came to the base and it was not long before intelligence training was being done, and soon other bases were closed, and the training focus remained on Goodfellow. The base now sports two gymnasiums, two swimming pools, a bowling alley, a movie theater and a paint ball court. A full-service medical clinic also services all active duty military, retirees and their family members.
