Goodfellow Air Force Base has no schools on base, but students who live on base attend schools in the San Angelo Independent School District which contains 16 elementary schools, 3 middle schools and 2 high schools. Students enrolling for the first time need to bring all medical and educational documents to register. Public school buses have limited service. If students live within one mile of the base, transportation is not provided. Bus stops may vary, so students may have a bit of a walk to catch the school bus.
